BIO: Meera Ekin- A Sufi Whirling Facilitator Her spiritual journey began at the age of 17. She started her journey by training under various spiritual teachers and sufi masters from India in Gurdjieff Sacred Movements, Satori, Somatic experiences, Sufi meditations and techniques of active meditations. In the process she found herself drawn to the lost ancient art of Sufi Whirling.
Her inner fire for the spiritual search kept increasing and she was blessed to have found a Sufi Master from Turkey. From him, she learnt practices of the Mevlevi Sufi order which is the order of Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi, popularly known as the poet Rumi. She trained under him for 5 years in Sufi Whirling and Zikr i.e. chanting. The experiences she has had were an overflowing of blessings in her heart and she started sharing her insights at the age of 24. Since, her journey has been focused towards teaching this meditative dance across the world through Sufi Whirling workshops. She has spent over 5000 hours in these workshops and has taught 1000s of women which helped them through issues of depression, pregnancy mood swings, empowerment, inner peace, anger management, etc.
