About the Event

Our busy lives can leave us depressed and anxious, with no apparent way to come back to a state of wholeness.  Yoga practice can offer a path through the struggle of these feelings and improve mood and outlook. This workshop will include a discussion on how a yoga practice can help you cope and then learning  yoga poses you can practice to help improve your mood and lower your anxiety levels. This workshop is open to all levels.  You must be able to get up and down from the floor unassisted to attend the workshop.

Nina Pileggi, Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT), Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), Yoga Alliance Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT500):

Nina has practiced Iyengar Yoga for over 25 years. She discovered yoga in her early 30’s when she was a stressed-out mother of three boys, working as an actuary at a corporate job. From her very first Iyengar Yoga class, she knew that she had found what she was looking for – a way forward. Nina loves and values the idea of studentship – that one should always be learning. Iyengar Yoga has given her an avenue to continuously learn and evolve through studentship. The practice of Iyengar Yoga helped Nina recover from anxiety and depression that plagued her in her mid-30’s.
