About the Event

We often think that tight or weak muscles are the culprit when poses are difficult.  But it might be your bones!  Skeletal variations in our shoulders, pelvis, hips and spine can and do impact our yoga practice.

Kathy Kacena will use photos from Paul Grilley’s Bare Bones of Yoga training to show the wide range of normal variation found in human bones.

We’ll use the photos and their implications as the basis of our practice together, as we observe and share our experiences with each other in various yoga poses.  The intention is to reinforce the fact that because no two bodies are exactly alike, no two bodies should be expected to perform any yoga pose in the exact same way.

This workshop will help you develop a better understanding of the shape of your bones and joints and learn new ways to adapt your yoga practice so that it is safe and useful.

Kathy is a long time student of Paul Grilley and has been practicing and teaching yoga for 21 years.

Cost:  $35
