Caroline Elliot is a certified Pilates Fitness Instructor and has been leading group and private classes in the Gorge since 2007. She has had the opportunity to lead classes in many and varied locations including fitness clubs, community centers, schools, churches, dance studios, yoga studios, therapy centers, local business rec. rooms, private homes, my own home and on the beach!
Her classes offers a unique method of body control and conditioning – stretching and strengthening the muscles while improving flexibility and balance. The exercises focus primarily on strengthening the core and using the abdominal muscles to control the movements of the limbs. Pilates teaches you to focus the mind as you exercise the body, gradually improving your coordination, body awareness, flexibility and overall alignment.
