Willow grew up learning Yoga from her mother, Jo Matson, from the age of 6. She deepened the asana practice throughout childhood into adolescent years. She completed her 200 hour teacher certification program over a 12 month training along the White Salmon river in a wood fired yurt when she was 18.
Yoga has become fully integrated into each aspect of daily life. She integrates Iyengar, Kundalini, Hatha, and Ashtanga practices into her style of teaching. Cultural influences in her philosophy and meditations come from Mexico, Guatemala, Hawai’i, parts of Europe, India, Japan, and the United States. Journey with her in class, in nature, or special events to find inner peace, light body activation, and expanded awareness.
