Betty McDavitt
In 1984 Betty was working at Copper Mtn. in Summit County as a professional ski instructor, teaching fitness off season. It was at this time she felt that there must be more to training than on just a physical level. She attended Strong, Stretched and Centered Institute and became certified to teach mind/body fitness. Three years later she studied Traditional Oriental Medicine at the Graysmith Institute and was certified to practice Acupressure Therapy in 1989.
“The class I teach is designed to enhance human potential and athletic performance as well as preventing and healing an injury. It will give you the opportunity to explore energy centers and how energy flows throughout the body. Techniques incorporated will include core strength, bioenergetic,Tia chi and Chi Gong exercise and will bring acupressure (rubbing energy points and channels) into asana (yoga postures) while focusing on pranayama (breathing).
Movement will open up energetic blocks and encourage flow, helping release old patterning and will allow an awareness of where and why you feel stuck, whether it be due to a physical, mental, emotional or spiritual imbalance. It will increase strength, flexibility and centeredness on all of these levels. Come find the peacefulness of being centered and grounded while moving into living more connected and in the present moment. Feel more alive!”
